BuzziMirage includes reflections, false perspectives, and fictitious shadows. The mirrors are a "trompe l'oeil" because they are founded on deceptive images and confusing perceptions. The designer explains, "It's a debate about materials, realism, and virtuality." "But, above all," designer Alain Gilles argues, "BuzziMirage is about creating its own miniature world."
The arch-shaped mirror's offset from its support creates the appearance of depth and an open door or window. By blending different materials — a metal or wood arching frame with a glass mirror — to generate new vanishing points, the design plays with depth and light.
Virtual reality
The aim of BuzziMirage is to create virtual openings and new vanishing points in spaces to generate new dynamics and enlarge the area.
Two sizes
The small mirror might be placed in a hall to serve as a tray. The thin shelf can accommodate keys and all sorts of small items you carry in your pockets. The big mirror gives the impression of a large door opening towards another world.
