The BuzziPleat is a large-scale, yet lightweight sculptural structure made of sound-absorbing BuzziFelt that reinterprets ancient fashion design techniques like smocking and pleating.
Architectural folds increase the amount of surface area available, resulting in better acoustic performance.
Volume and acoustics
This series reinterprets ancient techniques used in fashion design, like smocking and pleating, to gather up volume for acoustic purposes.
True craftsmanship
The traditional craft of hand pleating and lacing, which requires a steady hand and eye for detail, takes more than 2 hours for each BuzziPleat.
A space with personality
You can play around and hang the different models in various heights to create a balanced open space full of personality.
Tone it down
Despite its small footprint, the architectural folds maximize surface area, delivering excellent acoustic performance. The folds trap mid and low tones and help keep sound waves from bouncing back and forth on hard surfaces. Combine different suspension heights to prevent sound traveling in large space with high ceilings.
