The mesh/fabric is stretched—a bit like on a drum—across a polypropylene backrest. This gives users the ventilated comfort of a mesh back combined with the stability of a single-piece backrest shell.

The Drumback comes with soft castors which are suitable for not only the carpet but also hard floor surfaces too.
