Creating an ideal workplace environment

Overview

Following a successful collaboration at Sorbon’s HQ, we were delighted to partner with them once again, this time to transform One Ludlow, one of their commercial properties in the heart of Maidenhead.

Sorbon had a clear ambition: to reposition One Ludlow as a vibrant, modern destination that would attract and inspire tenants, while creating a workplace environment that would stand the test of time. By investing in a comprehensive refurbishment, they saw an opportunity not only to revitalise the building, but to strengthen its long-term value and appeal.

Design Development

Working closely with the Sorbon team, our design approach ensured we captured the essence of what makes One Ludlow unique - from the character of the building itself, its prominent Maidenhead location and the evolving and increasing demands of modern businesses, so the final design harmoniously combines all of these elements into one beautifully designed space.

Our in-house designers shaped the scheme from the initial creative direction through to a cohesive, considered concept, bringing together the aesthetics, functionality and atmosphere of the new space. We brought the vision to life by producing detailed visualisations that gave Sorbon a clear sense of how the finished environments would look and feel. This provided clarity around detailing, textures, and atmosphere for the space that instilled confidence in the design direction by allowing every detail to be carefully considered and agreed before progressing to the furniture procurement, delivery and installation phases.

Furniture & Procurement

With an established design direction, we developed a bespoke furniture scheme to bring the vision to life. Every element was carefully selected striking the perfect balance between style, practicality and performance, ensuring the furniture integrated seamlessly with the buildings architecture.

From the initial proposal through to final installation, we managed the entire furniture journey. We coordinated procurement, delivery and installation, giving Sorbon a single, seamless point of contact throughout the project. This hands-on approach ensured the design was delivered consistently and efficiently, right through to the finished space.

The Outcome

The successful delivery of the project was built on a long-standing, close and collaborative partnership between Sorbon and Hunts. From the initial concept through to completion, we transformed One Ludlow into a fresh, contemporary commercial environment designed to enrich the experiences for users and visitors whilst elevating the overall experience of the building.

The finished spaces not only revitalised the space but also helped strengthen One Ludlow’s position as an appealing destination for modern businesses looking for a contemporary, high-quality workplace.

The project has also further strengthened the relationship between Sorbon and Hunts, creating a strong foundation for future collaboration.
